Don't be scammed! Fake E-mail warning.
There have been quite a lot of email messages over recent weeks CLAIMING to be from Albury Local Internet, warning you that your account is about to be closed. DON'T FALL FOR IT!These email messages have come from a number of sources, many claiming to be from u.team@live.com, usually with a subject of "FINAL NOTICE:" and/or "Upgrade your Albury.net.au E-mail account now!"
The body of the message refers to "Dear albury.net.au e-mail owner", asks you for your username and password, makes threats that your account will be closed or deleted.
The message closes, signed with "Albury.net.au Team" and "ALBURY.NET.AU BETA".
THESE MESSAGES ARE NOT FROM US. DO NOT REPLY TO THEM
If you have already responded, please contact us urgently so we can change your password. These messages are nothing but a scam, designed to get your username and password, almost certainly with a view towards identity theft.
